ABOUT ME
Mary Skafida
Mental Health Counselor | Life Coach
My name is Mary Skafida.
I am a graduate of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Psychology, and I hold a postgraduate degree in School Psychology. In parallel, I have been trained and certified in Coaching and Clinical Nutrition.
My professional journey began through private tutoring for middle and high school students, where I supported them not only academically but also emotionally, helping them strengthen their self-confidence and personal development. I also taught them how to structure their learning process and truly understand how to learn, rather than simply memorizing information.
Later on, I worked for many years in the shipping industry, holding demanding and high-responsibility positions within a highly challenging environment. Through this experience, I realized that although it provided me with valuable knowledge and experiences, it did not truly fulfill or express who I was.
After several years, I consciously decided to change direction and pursue what genuinely inspires and fulfills me. I strongly believe that it is never too late for someone to choose the path they truly love, as long as they deeply desire it.
Today, through my work, my goal is to support people in making meaningful changes in their lives, strengthening their mental resilience, creating a life of balance, purpose and wellbeing, finding solutions to their challenges, and achieving the goals they have set for themselves.

MY PERSPECTIVE
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every person already carries within themselves the answers they are searching for.
With the right guidance and the appropriate tools, these answers can emerge and transform into meaningful change.
Real change begins from within. When we reshape the way we think, we also transform the way we live.
Human beings are a unified whole — body, mind, and soul.
When balance and harmony exist between them, we are able to live with greater calmness, awareness, and authenticity.
Step by step, we can reconnect with ourselves, understand our true needs, and discover meaningful solutions to the challenges we face.
The goal is to learn how to approach everyday difficulties differently — not to become lost within them, but to face them with clarity, calmness, and inner balance.
In this way, we can move closer to our goals, create genuine transformation in our lives, and live with greater joy, stability, and inner fulfillment.
